CONSTRUCTION, an area which is often used a barometer of the economy, is absolutely vital as the world is constantly under construction - be it from small towns or sprawling cosmopolitans.
With so much dynamism involved in this area, the need to regulate construction processes and to ensure a smooth process from start to finish is highly important.
As such, we provide advisory, negotiation and drafting services for construction agreements between interested parties, such as property companies, landowners, builders, architects, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors.
We also regularly advise both local and international construction companies on various contractual and payment disputes such as those in relation to final accounts, extension of time, loss and expense claims, liquidated ascertained damages and professional negligence claims. These disputes are dealt with by way of litigation or alternative dispute resolutions which our Firm is well versed with.
Recently, our Firm has also developed a niche in handling adjudication matters under the Construction Industry and Payment Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA).
The Partners of our Firm are also Adjudicators paneled with the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC).
